Abigail's Party returns to London this winter!

This iconic comedy drama returns to the London stage with Kellie Shirley (EastEnders) playing Beverly and Ryan Early (The Archers) playing her angst-driven husband Laurence.

Beverly and estate agent husband Laurence are happily ensconced and living the dream in suburbia. They know what records to play, what art prints to buy and what wine to drink. And Beverly just can’t resist the temptation to spread her knowledge and help improve the lives of their neighbours Tony, Angela and Abigail’s Mum, Susan. What better way to help out than to invite them all for drinks and titbits?

It’s the ultimate 1970’s comedy of manners as new-found suburban pretensions emerge and social aspirations abound. Sit back and relax as the gin is poured, the cigarettes are lit and Demis Roussos hits the turntable forever and ever. It’s the party to end all parties and you’re all invited!

Park Theatre is the brainchild of Artistic Director, Jez Bond, and Creative Director, Melli Bond, who – following a six year London-wide search for a building – discovered a vacant office block next to Finsbury Park station in 2010. Garnering support from the theatre community at large – including luminaries such as Ian McKellen and Alan Rickman, the press and, importantly, local residents – they set out to raise the necessary funds to convert the tired concrete building into a thriving new theatre and beacon for the community. At a cost of just £2.6 million, the building, designed by David Hughes Architects, opened in May 2013 to rave reviews from the critics.

Nearest Tube station is Finsbury Park (Station Place Exit). Exit left out of Station Place then left and under the bridge. Then second left onto Morris Place, Park Theatre is at the end.

Travel by train: Old Street, Moorgate. Nearest tube: Kings Cross
