About YONAKA

YONAKA are a fiercely energetic Brighton-based rock band redefining what modern rock can sound like. Fronted by the magnetic Theresa Jarvis, with George Edwards on guitar, Alex Crosby on bass and Rob Mason on drums, the quartet fuse alt-rock, pop, hip-hop and electronic influences into a sound that is bold, emotional and unmistakably their own. Their early EPs — Heavy (2017), Teach Me to Fight (2018) and Create (2018) — laid the foundations of their explosive style, packed with punchy hooks, cinematic production and Jarvis’s powerhouse vocals. Their debut album Don’t Wait ’Til Tomorrow (2019) elevated them further, mixing vulnerability and ferocity in songs that tackle mental health, resilience and self-worth with fearless honesty.

In 2023, YONAKA returned with Welcome to My House, an EP that pushed their sound into even more adventurous territory, blending swaggering rhythms with emotional depth and anthemic choruses built for big live moments. On stage, the band are electric — intense, passionate and utterly captivating, channelling their raw energy into performances that leave a lasting impression.
