Hidden History Tour, Wollaton Hall, Nottingham - 28th November 2019
We spent a wonderful hour behind the scenes at Wollaton Hall. Our guide was very knowledgable giving us lots of information about the building and the family who lived there. We went everywhere including the roof and down to the cellars. Thoroughly recommended.

Hidden History Tour, Wollaton Hall, Nottingham - 23rd November 2019
The tour took 90 minutes. The guide was very knowledgable about the house and the history of Nottingham up to the present day. He was enthusiastic on his subject. He took us to the top of the house and down to the cellars.
You need to be at ease on spiral staircases. At least one handrail is always provided.
The guide was very good and the house was very interesting.

Hidden History Tour, Wollaton Hall, Nottingham - 14th November 2019
On a very bleak and rainy day my wife and I along with our 2 year old granddaughter went along to Wollaton Hall as we had booked tickets for a "behind the scenes" look and historic tour of this brilliant building. A personal note, I have visited Wollaton Park from a small boy to now being a grandad and hadn't realised this tour was available so was rather excited to do it despite the appalling weather.
We me our tour guide and proceeded with the tour. The guide (Ben) was very knowledgeable and accommodating and made the whole experience come to life. We climbed the steps (there are many, be warned) to the Prospect Room high above the main hall. There were great views despite the weather, where Ben told us more about the history that he linked together all the way around. We did fleetingly go onto to roof that was amazing but due to the weather there was no time to linger! We made our way all the way down into the cellars stopping on the way to listen to more stories and seeing more of the building that you would never normally see or realise why it was there. We finally came down the final staircase where we thanked Ben for a great tour, we thoroughly enjoyed it!
I love local history and learned so much about the hall, its owners and history and when the weather gets better we shall be back for another tour and hopefully spend more time on the roof taking in the amazing views.
Our thanks to Ben and the team for a great couple of hours. I can without doubt recommend this as a definite visit to do in Nottingham, just be warned the stairs are many and need careful consideration.
Thanks to all for a great afternoon certainly exceeded expectations, can't wait for a summer visit!

Hidden History Tour, Wollaton Hall, Nottingham - 29th October 2019
We thought the tour and Sandra the guide were great. There were lots of interesting facts and we went to many places here the public are not allowed. Very enjoyable and the bonus of wonderful views of the city from high up in the hall.
