Wishing & Molly Walsh

Additional information

An evening of magic and reflection with music from local artists Wishing and Molly Walsh, with support from estella.

Wishing is a new dream-folk and alternative rock artist, weaving intimate and imaginative lyricism through ethereal soundscapes. Her songs explore the ever-changing interplay of memory, longing and identity, whilst gently untangling the mess of making sense of ourselves and the world around us. Drawing inspiration from musicians such as Diane Cluck, ML Buch, June McDoom and Hope Sandoval, Wishing inhabits a space between the familiar and the otherworldly, pairing introspective storytelling with atmospheric and dreamlike textures.

Molly Walsh is a Leeds based songwriter drawing inspiration from artists such as Adrianne Lenker, Aldous Harding and Julia Jacklin. Unphased by perfectionism, her songs are filled with performance and character, looking inwards and exploring youth, identity and lust. After forming a band this year and releasing her debut ep, this project comes during a whirlwind of change with exciting new sounds and experimentation.

estella is an artist based in the east midlands, she crafts dreamy tracks with an soft, ethereal setting combined with whitty emotional lyricism.
