If you'd like to be the first to know when new events are announced, you can follow Wintersleep below.
Formed in 2001 by vocalist/guitarist Paul Murphy, guitarist/keyboardist Tim d’Eon and drummer Loel Campbell in Nova Scotia, the band crafted a distinctive blend of atmospheric guitars, driving rhythms and vocal clarity. Their early albums, including Wintersleep (2003) and Untitled (2005), laid the groundwork for a richer sound, and their third album Welcome to the Night Sky (2007) earned them the 2008 Juno Award for New Group of the Year.
Over the years Wintersleep have continued to evolve — albums such as New Inheritors (2010), Hello Hum (2012) and The Great Detachment (2016) showed the band growing in confidence and scope, both musically and thematically. Their music balances introspective lyrics with expansive sonic textures — the kind of songs that can both fill arenas and offer quiet reflection. Having remained true to their roots while embracing new directions, Wintersleep stand out as one of Canada’s most enduring and inventive indie rock acts.
