Weyes Blood (real name Natalie Laura Mering) joins psyche rock with elements of folk and country. Idolised by both the music press and her rapidly growing fanbase; she has secured cult status and has teamed up with Ariel Pink on multiple occasions.
After dropping out of college, Mering played bass for Portland based band Jacki-O Motherfucker and keys for Satanized before going solo.
In 2011, she dropped debut album The Outside Room which was immediately celebrated by critics, with Uncut describing it as ''devotional and ethereal, but with an edge". He success has grown with each new title, with latest LP And in the Darkness, Hearts Aglow topping the US Heat Charts. Further record titles include The Innocents, Front Row Seat to Earth and Titanic Rising.
