About We shall overcome - Bainy/Kimberley Jam

Blue Vulture
*****************

Blue Vulture are a band you cant help get on board with. Soaring Indie collides with toe tapping Pop leaving you peering through your fingers at the glorious rock wreckage discarded by the roadside. Each and every riff will have you begging for the chorus to roar by again while the songs themselves will fill you with hope, love, fear and loathing, all the while spurring you on to fight the fight without ever knowing why. There's no good reason to have not seen them, so if you haven't, it's time to put that right. Blue Vulture will be selling a limited edition CD version of their EP "Live to an Audience of No One" on the night, with all the profits also going to Emmanuel House.

Death of the High Street
******************************************

Death of the High Street are a 4-piece alt-rock band with punk attitude. Formed in the Midlands, UK in 2020 they burst onto the scene with their debut single "Exit", released through Alan McGee's It's Creation Baby label. The track received positive support from national radio shows, namely Steve Lamacq’s BBC 6Music show and Janice Long's BBC Wales show, along with positive reviews and numerous playlist spots. Death of the High Streets' bass driven, lyrically intriguing sound boasts catchy riffs and powerful drum beats, all making for a commanding and high-energy sound. They possess a confident and dominant presence and have an awareness that sees them create their music with a powerful social commentary, they can be likened to other politically and socially aware bands whilst still retaining their unique sound. Their last release "Synergy" again showed DOTHS’ intention as a band to make people stop and think. Chosen by KEXP’s dj John Richards as song of the day and securing a listener-backed spot on the BBC 6music introducing mix tape showed that DOTHS sound is infectious. Tipped by this feeling as 'ones to watch" DOTHS are forging their way forwards on their own terms, playing up and down the country, building a loyal following along the way.

The Days of Tomorrow
***************************

It was during the bleakest nights in lockdown that the idea came to us...we could make music videos using smart phone technology and free music software. Suddenly, the veil of isolation was lifted and The Days of Tomorrow was formed! In April 2021, the band released their debut single, "Spectres". However, big plans were abruptly derailed when singer-songwriter Gareth Peel was hospitalised with Covid during that summer. Despite the disruption, the band released their second single, "Jealousy", in late October. The song drew glowing support, including repeated radio play from DJ Indi at OFI Monday Radio. In November, bassist Matt challenged Gareth to start work on recording an original track in time for Christmas. Three weeks later, the band released their third single, "Christmas Snow". Within days, Christmas Snow was awarded ‘BBC Introducing: Song of the Week’ by DJ Dean Jackson. The song enjoyed a full week of airtime from DJ Arun Verma, making it the final featured original song of 2021. It also caught the attention of RB1 FM Radio presenter Clare Elise, who featured the song on her Christmas Eve show. In the New Year 2022, actor Robert Carlyle gave the band a huge and unexpected boost by recommending and sharing Jealousy to a new audience of thousands on Twitter. Since February, The Days of Tomorrow have been gigging across the East Midlands, with performances at The Robin Hood Sherwood, Acoustic Rooms, Percy Picklebackers and the Cowshed in Hucknall. The Days of Tomorrow are also thrilled to announce that new singles "Anywhere" and "Henry Road" are due for release this autumn.
