Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan is the ambient-electro project of Gordon Chapman-Fox.
Bristling synth lines that puncture the air, rumbling basses and chord swells that you feel right to the spine, with rhythmic and snapping delays effortlessly taking the role of most of the traditional percussive elements.
Chapman-Fox's music operates as a cinematic, retro-futuristic soundscape that reflects the utopian vision—and eventual decay—of the UK’s post-war “new towns” movement centred on Warrington and Runcorn. He painstakingly crafts albums that act as immersive sonic documentaries of these developments, blending glistening arpeggios, rumbling synth textures, and rich, nostalgic atmosphere to evoke a very British sense of institutional surrealism and longing.
The event is taking place at Cambridge Junction 2, Cambridge. See individual listings for full venue details.
Tickets go on sale on Tuesday 25th August 2026 at 12:00am.
