Dublin's THUMPER are a six-piece alt-rock force whose maximalist wall of sound has made them one of Ireland's most thrilling live bands.
Hailing from Dublin, THUMPER are a six-piece built for volume, with two drummers and four guitarists powering a maximalist wall of sound that has set them apart on the Irish scene. Their debut album, Delusions of Grandeur (2022), paired towering distortion with melody and hooks, earning a nomination for Irish Album of the Year at the RTÉ Choice Music Prize alongside the likes of Fontaines DC and CMAT. They followed it with their second album, Sleeping With The Light On (2026), a leaner, darker step deeper into their blend of alt, psych and noise-rock.
THUMPER have always been best experienced live, and years of relentless touring across Ireland, the UK and Europe have made them festival regulars at Electric Picnic, All Together Now, Reading & Leeds, Mad Cool and Iceland Airwaves. They supported Kasabian on the band's 2023 Irish tour, and have earned airplay across BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Radio X and Kerrang!. Loud, hook-heavy and impossible to ignore, they remain one of Ireland's most exciting bands to catch in person.
