The Vintage Caravan are a rock trio from Álftanes, Iceland, whose music bridges the spirit of classic ’60s and ’70s hard rock with modern psychedelic and progressive textures. Formed in 2006 by childhood friends Óskar Logi Ágústsson (guitar, vocals) and Guðjón Reynisson (drums), they later brought in Alexander Örn Númason on bass. The band’s early years saw self-releases and gradual refinement of their sound before they broke through with Voyage (2014), which led to wider recognition and a signing with Nuclear Blast. As the lineup evolved, drummer Stefán Ari joined in 2015, and the group pushed further into ambitious territory with albums like Gateways (2018) and Monuments (2021).
Throughout their career, The Vintage Caravan have impressed audiences with potent riffcraft, soaring vocals and dynamic shifts between heaviness and atmosphere. They’ve performed at major festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Hellfest, and toured extensively across Europe, earning a reputation for delivering powerful live shows. Their album Monuments further solidified their status, charting in Germany and marking them as torchbearers of modern retro rock. With Portals (2025), they continue to expand their sonic vision, bringing classic rock passion into fresh, expansive landscapes.
