Romeo & Juliet, The Monastery, Manchester - 9th February 2018
It was our first time experiencing a Village Screen event, and it definitely did not disappoint! I love Romeo and Juliet, and as a couple we love old buildings and historic places, so this was a win win for us!
We’ve never been to this Monastery before, but oh my, it is beautiful, what a space! It was so special to watch a film like that, in a building like that.
It was a really warm welcome from all the staff we spoke to, and the bar staff were friendly too!
100% recommend, especially as it’s probably a once in a life time experience!
We thought it was a nice touch being thanked for coming aswell, small gestures say big things in this day and age!
Thanks for making it happen ⚡️🕍🍿

Romeo & Juliet , The Abbeydale Picture House, Sheffield - 14th February 2018
Dissapointed with how dirty the toilet facilities were, clearly not been cleaned or repaired for a number of years
Was expecting some real candles not just LED ones
£3.50 for a tiny bag of popcorn excessive
We used blankets to reserve seats as advised but they got moved
Some more seating for people eating would have been good.

Romeo & Juliet , The Abbeydale Picture House, Sheffield - 14th February 2018
The Abbeydale Picture House is a gem of a building and it's great to see it being used. The place was nicely staged for the event with some very nice little touches. My wife and I enjoyed the evening very much. For 5 stars I'd have liked to have been a fraction warmer and the toilets would have been a bit more plush. I'll be watching out for further events with great interest.
