The The are a London-based post-punk band, best known for their huge anthem "This Is the Day".
First formed in 1979, the band now consists of Matt Johnson(vocals, guitars), Barrie Cadogan (lead guitar), DC Collard (keys), James Eller (bass) and Earl Harvin (drums).
Their 80’s heyday included the release of their gold-selling records Soul Mining (1983) and Infected (1986). Their success continued with studio albums Mind Bomb (1989), Dusk (1993), Hanky Panky (1995) and NakedSelf (2000). They have also released soundtrack records for Tony (2010), Moonbug (2012), Hyena (2015) and Muscle (2020).
