This lively event in a truly stunning venue, with a fantastic dance floor, is designed especially for dancers and music lovers alike, offering a programme that moves effortlessly from classic Christmas Swing favourites to festive tunes, all with a danceable twist. Whether you love the energy of swing dance, the smooth flow of modern jive, or the elegance of ballroom, the evening’s music has been carefully chosen to keep your feet moving and spirits high.
Adding to the seasonal atmosphere, alongside the dance numbers the band will include a couple of much-loved Christmas songs with singalong moments, inviting the audience to lift their voices and share in the season’s joy. It’s the perfect balance of social dancing and festive celebration — ideal for solos, couples, groups and anyone who enjoys live music in a welcoming atmosphere. The result is a warm, sociable event that combines the excitement of a night dancing with the uplifting spirit of a Christmas celebration.
Renowned for their tight musicianship and engaging performance style, The Swing Unlimited Dance Band brings both polish and personality to the stage. If you’ve never before seen a full 17 Piece Big Band with special guest vocalists, their rich sound will leave you simply astounded and energised - part of a truly memorable Christmas. This festive concert promises a delightful evening where dancers can glide, spin, and swing while enjoying the timeless magic of Christmas music performed live.
For those who might want to dip their toe into the water of dance for the very first time, our experienced Dance Instructors will be running an introductory Swing Dance Class on the night. Unleash your inner Gene Kelly or Strictly Shirley and discover just how much fun dance can be, whether you are solo, a couple or part of a group. Try it and you’ll surprise yourself! During the interval, there will be another short teaching session revising the earlier class and covering some more advanced moves and styling pointers for those with some experience.
If you can’t / won’t / don’t dance, then fear naught, as the program has great tunes throughout for those who simply love to listen and enjoy the festive party vibe. There is also a very well-equipped bar for those who enjoy other types of Christmas Spirit.
The whole show is given a final extra polish in the tender hands of your compere for the afternoon, Mr Pat Peiro. Pat is a showman and band leader unlike any other on the music circuit, he is artful, articulate and astonishingly amusing. With Pat at the helm, you won’t stop smiling and laughing for a moment.
The Band will all be dressed to kill, in a select range of festive knitwear, party sequins and Santa headgear. So, join in the fun and step out in style by wearing your finest tasteless festive jumper, a super sparkling party outfit or a fully blinged up seasonal hat. It’s not at all obligatory, but we’d love to see a bit of Christmas colour from the audience and, if you’re really feeling brave enough, why not go “Full Elf” and come in proper fancy dress. There is a prize for the best individual Christmas Outfit (in both Tasteless Knitwear and Sequin Sparkles categories) and for the best Festive Hat.
Anyone in full fancy dress will receive a special prize on the night.
