UK hip hip/comedy-rap trio who in their 70s became internet sensations by using humour, honesty and northern grit to deliver blunt songs about life nobody else is talking about.
If you'd like to be the first to know when new events are announced, you can follow The Northern Boys below.
The Northern Boys are a British hip hop / comedy hip hop group formed in 2022 by Liverpool-born rappers Norman Pain and Patrick Karneigh Jr., based in Sutton Coldfield. Although they’re officially a trio, their third member (Kevin) appears as a dancer in videos rather than performing vocals. What sets them apart is their age (they started in their 70s), gravelly voices, bold northern accents, and unfiltered lyrics that tackle taboo topics with sharp humour think raw confessionals, social anxieties, sex, mental health and a very non-polished style.
They rose to fame via virality: their debut single “Party Time” (2022), set to the beat of Estelle’s “American Boy”, got huge traction on YouTube and TikTok. Releases like “Give It To Me”, “Sexy Train” and “F the World” followed in 2023, each bringing more of their confrontational yet often hilarious vibe. Live, their shows lean into that contrast humour mixed with gutsy honesty making them something of an unlikely but deeply admired voice in UK hip hop.
Ticket prices may vary depending on venue and location. Full pricing details are available on each individual event page.
