The East Pointers hail from Prince Edward Island, Canada, and blend Celtic-rooted tradition with contemporary vitality, creating music that’s both deeply grounded and electrifying. Formed in 2014, the trio originally featured banjoist Koady Chaisson, fiddler Tim Chaisson and guitarist Jake Charron. Together they built a sound where fiddle tunes meet punchy rhythm, foot-stomping energy meets lyric storytelling, and the acoustic feels as propulsive as any band with a full lineup.
Their debut album Secret Victory (2015) earned a Juno Award for Traditional Roots Album of the Year in 2017. They followed with What We Leave Behind (2017) and Yours to Break (2019), and later released the EPs House of Dreams (2022) and Safe In Sound (2023). Tragically, in early 2022 Koady Chaisson passed away, and the band has continued with Tim and Jake carrying forward their shared vision. Their live shows are known to spark dancing, footwork and joy — often feeling like a celebration and a reclamation of what folk music can be in the modern world.
Ticket prices may vary depending on venue and location. Full pricing details are available on each individual event page.
