The CoPolice are a Cambridgeshire-based tribute band formed in summer 2021, committed to delivering an authentic experience of The Police's music. The trio comprises Riko Burrows on bass and vocals, Rick Cook on drums, and Stef on guitar and vocals. Riko, originally from the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border, began playing bass in 1980 and brings a wealth of experience from various genres, including punk and classic rock. Rick, hailing from Lincolnshire, joined the band in 2023 and has an impressive resume, having performed and recorded alongside esteemed musicians from FM, Thunder, and Iron Maiden.
The CoPolice have been performing gigs across the UK since their inception, playing most of The Police's hits from 1977 to 1983. Their performances are more than just renditions; they're immersive experiences that transport audiences back to the heyday of The Police. From the infectious rhythms of "Roxanne" to the anthemic power of "Every Breath You Take," The CoPolice meticulously recreate the essence of The Police's discography, ensuring that every strum, beat, and lyric resonates with authenticity and passion.
