THE BONESHAKERS

Additional information

Detroit soul, Muscle Shoals groove and blues-rock fire

The Boneshakers · Bromley Blues Club · Sunday 10th October 2027

A band of real international pedigree. Guitarist Randy Jacobs (co-founder of Was (Not Was), co-writer of Walk The Dinosaur) and vocalist Jenny Langer, winner of the 2020 International Blues Challenge, bring The Boneshakers to Bromley Little Theatre.

"Poised between Detroit soul, golden-era Muscle Shoals and Dobro porch blues." (Classic Rock Magazine)

Why fans rate them so highly

• Randy has recorded and toured with BB King, Bonnie Raitt, Aretha Franklin, Buddy Guy, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder and Elton John

• Bonnie Raitt herself coined the name "Boneshakers"

• One Foot In The Groove hit No.1 on the US Soul Blues and UK Blues Radio charts

• Live To Be This (2025) reached the Billboard Top 10, with a Rolling Stone feature

• Jenny Langer: Virginia Blues Hall of Fame inductee at just 28

Three and four-part harmonies, a tight, groove-heavy rhythm section, Randy's guitar moving between funk riffs and stinging blues leads, and Jenny commanding the room from the first note. In the band's words: "Every song is intentional. There is no fluff."
