The Beach Boys, East Links, Montrose - 28th May 2017

What a concert they had the audience singing and dancing from start to finish the music and vocals took me back to my youth (which was'nt yesterday)and a great tribute during the concert to those who suffered in Manchester at the start of the week would certainly go and see them again if they were ever to return to Scotland

Fantastic group, love their music, sounded brilliant, started following them in 1977.
Their music is so uplifting and great to have on loud in the car!
14 members on stage (including a tribute Beach Boys band, who were amazing & worked together beautifully which is why their on tour with them)
Beautiful brass instruments, great to watch them being played. Gorgeous sounds.
Each person not only sung but played at least 2 if not 3 instruments too.

"The sound of Summer."

The Beach Boys, Royal Albert Hall, London - 19th May 2017

Really solid performance considering these boys are now vintage men albeit with some younger support from the band. Mainly a greatest hits show but with such a huge back catalogue to choose from even two hours plus barely scratched the surface of what is a soundtrack for summer.
The spoilers were the sound quality in the second half being poor and also Mike Love allowing his daughter to sing....she doesn't have a voice for these songs.
High points must be the stunning venue, appreciative audience who got up danced and Brian Wilson and Mike Love for penning so many great songs.
See you Boys again next time.

The Beach Boys, Royal Albert Hall, London - 19th May 2017

They are still brilliant - unbelievable, really. 5000 people on their feet, way before the encore - with a little help from the new band members around them, age is not a problem to them - plus they have Brian Wilson's music. When they finally stop performing the will be sorely missed - see them while you can🏄🏄🏄🏄

The Beach Boys are amongst the most famous bands of all time. The absolute vanguard of the California Sound, their surf songs that sing of cars, romance and youth culture came to become a leading sound of the revolutionary decade of the Sixties and they endure as timeless classics making them an important piece of living rock / pop history.

Following the 50th anniversary of their seminal album Pet Sounds, The Beach Boys have announced two exciting shows at iconic London venue; the Royal Albert Hall. The news comes at the same time as a new documentary entitled The Beach Boys Pet Sounds: Classic Album is released on Blu Ray which features the accounts of all involved in the writing and recording, plus footage taken of the process at the time.

They headline at Royal Albert Hall in London on the 18th and 19th of May, 2017.

The have also recently announced further dates in May at Scarborough Open Air Theatre and East Links in Montrose.

The Beach Boys tickets will become available at 09:00 on Friday 29th of November. We expect huge demand so be sure to set a personal reminder with Gigantic to arrive via text message or email so you are ready for their release.

Led by eldest brother Brian Wilson, the band emerged in 1961 with the song Surfin’ which was soon followed by massive smash hit song Surfin’ Safari. They signed to Capitol Records in July of 1962 and released the iconic album Surfin’ USA the very same year.

After achieving worldwide fame with their pop songs, they soon set their scopes higher and began work on what is considered the first ever concept album; Pet Sounds. Work began whilst they were touring in 1965 and resulted in a paradigm shift from the previous pop material which pushed forward the boundaries of contemporary music. Their experimentation would continue with the incredible album Smiley Smile.

Their incredible back catalogue continued throughout the Sixties and beyond as they continue to record new material to this day.

Concert tickets for The Beach Boys are highly desirable and we do not expect them to be around for long so book your early before they are gone. Stay with Gigantic for the very best experience buying gig tickets.
