Terno Rei are a São Paulo-based indie rock quartet formed in around 2010, made up of Ale Sater (vocals, bass), Bruno Paschoal (guitar, vocals, synth), Greg Maya (guitar, synth) and Luís Cardoso (drums, vocals). The band emerged from Brazil’s vibrant independent scene, drawing on elements of dream pop, shoegaze, synth-pop and melancholic rock to carve out a distinctive sound grounded in emotion and texture.
Their debut album Vigília (2014) introduced their atmospheric style, while Essa Noite Bateu Com Um Sonho (2016) deepened their songwriting with introspective themes of urban life and longing. Their third record Violeta (2019) marked a broader shift, embracing richer pop hooks and synth textures, capturing critical acclaim and expanding their reach. With their fourth album Gêmeos (2022) and fifth, Nenhuma Estrela (2025), Terno Rei continued evolving—achieving their most ambitious sonic and lyrical statements yet as they blend maturity with their signature emotional clarity.
