The band played with a great energy in spite of Tom being incapacitated and having to remain seated.

They played a good combination of the new songs from the current album, as well as some of the familiar classics.

Overall, a rousing and highly enjoyable set, made more so by some great improvisation on certain songs.

A lot better live than I thought they would be, 70% of the songs played were excellent although there were times when they drifted in to twee 1980's electronica which sort of let it down a bit. Good venue, with easy parking close by and friendly atmosphere. Only draw back no Non alcholic drinks available, which is a bit of a drag if you don't drink and don't like coke etc

Teleman - Skeleton Dance

Teleman are band that make enigmatic indie music and sublime pop. The music often features upbeat pop vocals and swinging guitars contrasted with brooding synths. Somewhat reminiscent of the krautrock movement in the seventies, with rigid rhythms and effect tinged vocals.

The band have achieved a lot in a very short time, having only formed in 2012. London based, the band is made up brothers Thomas (vocals, guitar) and Jonny Sanders (synths) who had previously worked together in the band Pete And The Pirates, Pete Cattermoul (bass) and Hiro Amamiya.

They have just announced a tour later in the year. See them play at The Globe at Cardiff, Cambridge Junction, EartH - Hackney Arts Centre in London, Bristol Fleece and The Scholar at Leicester during April 2019.

The band were quickly snapped up by Moshi Moshi, a label with a reputation for being ahead of the curve when it comes to recognising future greats and also has a taste for bands that like a bit of synth. The band were quick to release their debut single Christina before heading into the studio to work on their first album.

With guitar hero and production ace Bernard Butler on board, they released their first LP entitled Breakfast mid-2014. A fantastic first record, the album contained a fantastic array of excellent singles including 23 Floors Up, Skeleton Dance and Mainline.

Since the release of Breakfast, the band have toured extensively across Europe and America. Somehow also finding the time to record the single Strange Combinations.

They have subsequently released the albums Brilliant Sanity which features the two sensation singles Fall In Time and Düsseldorf, plus their latest release Family Of Aliens which came out in 2018.
