Teleman are band that make enigmatic indie music and sublime pop. The music often features upbeat pop vocals and swinging guitars contrasted with brooding synths. Somewhat reminiscent of the krautrock movement in the seventies, with rigid rhythms and effect tinged vocals.

The band have achieved a lot in a very short time, having only formed in 2012. London based, the band is made up brothers Thomas (vocals, guitar) and Jonny Sanders (synths) who had previously worked together in the band Pete And The Pirates, Pete Cattermoul (bass) and Hiro Amamiya.

The band were quickly snapped up by Moshi Moshi, a label with a reputation for being ahead of the curve when it comes to recognising future greats and also has a taste for bands that like a bit of synth. The band were quick to release their debut single Christina before heading into the studio to work on their first album.

With guitar hero and production ace Bernard Butler on board, they released their first LP entitled Breakfast mid-2014. A fantastic first record, the album contained a fantastic array of excellent singles including 23 Floors Up, Skeleton Dance and Mainline.

Since the release of Breakfast, the band have toured extensively across Europe and America. Somehow also finding the time to record the single Strange Combinations.

Their brand new album Brilliant Sanity is out now. The album is also released by Moshi Moshi and it features the two sensation singles Fall In Time and Düsseldorf.

This summer, see them play some great summer dates such as Latitude Festival 2016 in Henham Park at Southwold where they play alongside the likes of Slaves, Bear’s Den and Emma Pollock.

They will also play support when Maximo Park take over Times Square in Newcastle. Scarborough Fair Festival lights up the North East Coast, and sees Teleman perform with other greats like Everything Everything and Richard Ashcroft.
