The Lexington, London
Doors at 19:30
Formed in Portland, Oregon in 1993, Team Dresch became one of the defining bands of the queercore movement, combining punk energy, grunge intensity and deeply personal songwriting. Their debut album, Personal Best (1995), remains a landmark release and was later recognised by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest punk albums of all time. Songs such as “Fagetarian and Dyke”, “She’s Amazing” and “Growing Up in Springfield” captured experiences rarely heard in alternative music at the time, helping the band build a devoted following across the independent punk scene.
Known for their raw emotional honesty, dual vocal attack and unforgettable sense of community, Team Dresch’s influence can be heard across generations of punk, indie and emo artists. Alongside Captain My Captain (1996) and a catalogue of celebrated singles, their music continues to resonate with audiences drawn to its combination of anger, vulnerability and hope. Live, Team Dresch deliver the same cathartic, sing-along atmosphere that made them underground legends, turning every show into a joyful celebration of connection and collective release.
