Strike Anywhere are a politically charged punk band from Richmond, Virginia, known for their anthemic blend of melodic hardcore, social conscience and emotional honesty. Formed in 1999, the five-piece — Thomas Barnett (vocals), Matt Smith and Mark Miller (guitars), Garth Petrie (bass) and Eric Kane (drums) — have long been a voice for resistance and solidarity, pairing ferocious speed and energy with thoughtful lyricism. Their catalogue, including the acclaimed albums Change Is a Sound, Exit English and Iron Front, has made them one of punk’s most enduring and influential bands, recognised for balancing personal conviction with collective purpose.
