Star Shaped Festival, O2 ABC Glasgow, Glasgow - 12th August 2017
Great event, but felt the Bluetones had a very hard job trying to go on after a blinding set from Sleeper - they weren't bad, but were slightly underwhelming in comparison. The venue had a great atmosphere, only thing that would have been an improvement was some sort of food vendor - the upstairs pod bar was closed off - maybe having street food style vendors in there so you didn't end up missing parts of sets rushing out of the venue between bands to try and get something to eat, in a queue with about 100 others trying to do the same, then get back in again.

What a brilliant event, visiting my favourite place - the past! A wonderful snapshot of the sunny never-ending summers of the mid-90s, when Britpop ruled the airwaves. Great value for money too, Louise Wener was magnificent. All 6 bands were really enthusiastic and pleased the crowds with singalong greatest hits sets. Hope this format continues with more bands from the greastest era of British music.

Star Shaped Festival, O2 Forum, London - 5th August 2017
Great lineup with an unforgettable performance at an affordable price.
Very annoyed though that you weren't allowed to bring food into the venue, no readmission after 7pm and the venue weren't selling food yet happy to plough people with alcohol resulting in many inebriated people! Especially when we were there for 10 hours

Great bands with the exception of Space who were literall a waste of.... Sleeper excelled, can't believe they have only just reformed. Honourable mentions to MLS and The Bluetones. Bad aspects were over-priced drinks and lack of decent beer. Note to venue there is such a thing now called cask and craft beer. Also disappointing that there was no readmission after 7pm, quite tough to be on your feet from 2pm. Still warrants 5 * though.

Absolutely loved Star SHaped Festival - Britpop is totally my thing, but I never got to see Sleeper or My Life Story back at their height. They were superb, as were Dodgy and The Bluetones. Kentish Town Forum was the perfect venue for it, my only question is when can we do it again!?
