Sløtface (pronounced Slutface) are a Norwegian rock collective led by vocalist and songwriter Haley Shea. Originally formed in 2012 by Shea, Lasse Lokøy, Tor-Arne Vikingstad and Halvard Skeie Wiencke, the band quickly broke out beyond their home country with their debut album Try Not to Freak Out (2017) — a sharp, funny and heartfelt record that introduced their fearless blend of pop-rock hooks, punk energy and lyrical honesty. Its follow-up Sorry for the Late Reply (2020) deepened their sound and cemented them as one of Scandinavia’s most engaging indie exports, exploring themes of anxiety, belonging and self-definition. Their music has been featured in Sex Education and We Are Lady Parts, earning them a global audience drawn to their wit, warmth and emotional candour.
After evolving into a new creative chapter in 2022, Shea now leads Sløtface as a collaborative collective working with fellow musicians, producers and visual artists. Their 2024 album Film Buff — a love letter to cinema filled with pop-culture nods and euphoric choruses — captured their playful spirit, while their independent releases on the band’s own label Dagen Er Ødelagt mark an exciting new era of experimentation and self-expression. Known for their joyful, high-octane live shows that balance catharsis with community, Sløtface remain a rare band whose humour, heart and purpose shine just as brightly as their riffs.
