Indie icons Simon & Oscar of Ocean Colour Scene fame split from the main band to play intimate acoustic reworkings of their greatest hits and Britpop anthems.
Singer Simon Fowler and drummer Oscar Harrison, together with guitarist Simon Fowler and bassist Damon Minchella, formed Ocean Colour Scene in 1989. Originally heavily influenced by the baggy Madchester sound, the Birmingham based band would move towards a Mod centric sound in the mid-90s. They would release triple platinum album Mosely Shoals in 19896 which contained huge hit singles "The Circle", "The Day We Caught the Train" and "The Riverboat Song" – as used on TFI Friday.
They reached platinum sales with Marchin' Already (1997), with One from the Modern (1999) hitting gold and both Mechanical Wonder (2001) and North Atlantic Drift (2003) reaching gold certification.
