If you'd like to be the first to know when new events are announced, you can follow SHORTPARIS below.
Shortparis are a once seen and never forgotten experience. So from the moment we first set eyes on them at last year's MENT Ljubljana showcase event in Slovenia we've been following their every move since.
Hailing from St Petersburg, they're part of a new generation of Russian bands spearheading one of the most exciting scenes to emerge from Eastern Europe in years. Combining fractured electronica with nuanced pop featuring exalted vocals sang in Russian, French and English set to one of the most theatrical live shows on the planet. Shortparis have been compared to Erasure, Nine Inch Nails, Front 242, Bronski Beat, The Hidden Cameras, Nitzer Ebb and Einsturzende Neubaten without specifically sounding like any of them.
This marks the band's first ever tour of the UK and we're delighted to be hosting their maiden show in Nottingham during a week that will see them play Liverpool Sound City and The Great Escape in Brighton.
“Ambitious, bombastic, incredibly pretentious, erotic, thrilling, impossible to pin down, vaguely deviant, fun to dance to and full of revolutionary potential” - The Quietus
“A band trying to smash five decades of music with an electrified cricket bat” - Gigwise
“This is a true death disco - a post-industrial dark and thrilling ride on the dark side that you can dance to. A thrilling combination of electronics and post-punk deconstruction with operatic vocals” - Louder Than War
“Spellbinding... Monstrous slabs of dark, electronic soul and pulverising New Beat” - Drowned In Sound
Ticket prices may vary depending on venue and location. Full pricing details are available on each individual event page.
