Sheng Wang is a Taiwanese-American stand-up comedian, writer and actor whose quiet delivery conceals a razor-sharp observational wit rooted in his experience growing up in Houston after being born in Taipei. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business at the University of California, Berkeley (1998–2002) and began honing his craft with stand-up in San Francisco and New York City before establishing himself in Los Angeles.
Wang’s career spans writing for television — he worked as a staff writer, story editor and executive story editor on the ABC sitcom Fresh Off the Boat from 2015 to 2018. His stand-up breakthrough came with his Netflix special Sheng Wang: Sweet & Juicy (2022), directed by Ali Wong, praised for its mix of laid-back delivery and insightful humour.
