Shelf Lives are made up of vocalist Sabrina Di Giulio (originally from Toronto) and guitarist/producer Jonny Hillyard (from Northampton). Formed around 2020, they made a striking entry with their debut mini-album Yes, Offence (2022), characterised by danceable aggression and incisive lyrics. Their sound blends electro-clash textures with punk intensity and they’ve already supported the likes of Skunk Anansie on a UK/Europe tour and appeared at festivals including Glastonbury Festival.
With lyrics that scrutinise consumerism, social norms and personal identity, and a live show designed to feel like a sweaty house-party uprising, Shelf Lives are one of the most exciting emergent voices in UK underground rock.
