Real Friends, Electric Ballroom, London - 16th April 2017

This was my first time going to a concert and it was amazing . The three Bands played so well and it made me want to see them again for sure. I was going with two friends and didn't actually know that much about these bands but since that night I have been listening to them non stop. But I have to say seeing them live is unforgettable and really shows off their talent. Thankyou so much to Real friends, Can't Swim and Microwave , was such a great day!

Real Friends, Thekla, Bristol - 13th April 2017

Honestly the most incredible band live with the most genuine members who interact with the crowd and provide an unforgettable night

Real Friends are the band for any connoisseur of pop punk and emo. The band from the Chicago suburb of Tinley Park address difficult issues with euphoric music gifting the listener with an overcoming sense of strength and inspiration.

The band’s current line-up includes drummer Brian Blake, guitarists Eric Haines and Dave Knox, Dan Lambton providing vocals and Kyle Fasel on bass.

The band started in autumn of 2010 after bassist Fasel wanted to move in a new musical direction and began recruiting band members. They released their first EP, This Is Honesty, during spring of the next year.

The band signed to the record label Fearless in 2013. Their debut album was recorded at February Always Be Genius Recording Studio with Seth Henderson as producer. Maybe This Place Is The Same And We’re Just Changing came out in February 2014 to precede their appearance at the Warped Tour. The record chimed with audiences and saw the band reach #24 on the Billboard 200.

They have just released their brand new album The Home Inside My Head through Fearless. They album features tracks the band has been working on since 2014.

In the beginning of the writing process the songs quickly fell into a special place. As time went on we finished more songs. The songs became attached to us unlike any other material we had written before. There was just something about these. They just felt right when we played them“

Recording started in January of this year and was finished whilst the band was on the road touring. The band plan to promote the new record with live concerts around the UK.
