Ray Beadle & Band | Live at The Old Brewery Store, Faversham
Award-winning Australian blues guitarist and singer Ray Beadle brings his full band to Faversham for a night of tough, Texas-style blues rock.
Ray Beadle is one of Australia’s finest blues guitarists. He played to a packed room at The Oast in Rainham in August 2026, and now he’s coming back to Kent with his full electric band for a Saturday night at The Old Brewery Store in Faversham.
Ray was born in Sydney in 1978 and started playing guitar at nine, after hearing his father play at home. He has been playing the blues ever since. His CV is hard to beat:
- a three-month residency with the house band at BB King’s Blues Club in Memphis
- three tours of the USA, including Buddy Guy’s Blues Club in Chicago and a run of Southern blues festivals
- years performing and recording with the Foreday Riders, the band Australian musicians call “the University of the Blues”
- a top-eight finish at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis
His latest album, Bound To Get The Blues, is his fifteenth. He recorded it live to tape at Studios 301 in Sydney with a band that has played together for twenty years. In Ray’s words, “We set out to do straight blues rock, tough Texas style.” The guitar solos are long, mostly improvised and full of fire.
Albert King is the influence Ray names most often. You’ll also hear Texas, Chicago and jump blues in his playing, and fans of the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Gary Clark Jr and Doyle Bramhall II will feel right at home. With the full band behind him, expect a loud, muscular and committed night of electric blues.
