Quarry (aka Ash Carvell) comes from nowhere remarkable. A small village on the outskirts of Tring. Neighbouring Aylesbury where he attended school was once being described as the most statistically average town in the UK. His commitment to music has been life long, he can hardly be blamed for dreaming of a way out, after all the present is gainful employment at a sand quarry just outside of Dunstable but the future is all about boundless possibilities. Incidentally, his current vocation is the inspiration behind his artist project.
Quarry; a concise exploration on the human psyche through the medium of music and a reminder to reach for something more. His greatest gift is being able to convey complex and uncomfortable issues within the context of slick alternative pop "an intelligent combination" of Francis and The Lights type production and Peter Gabriel’s pristine separation.
