About Quantic
Quantic is an excellent producer with an ear that tends towards jazz. Known for his spontaneous musicianship and prolific talent, he is now based in the cultural hub of New York.
Will Holland originally came from Bewdly in Worcestershire and started working in music at the young age of 16. Continuing his ambitions, he later moved to Brighton. There he would throw himself into funk, soul and Afrobeat scene.
Holland formed the Quantic Soul Orchestra, a live band of musicians and DJs centred around jazz. They continue to write, record and perform to massive crowds around the world.
In 2007 he moved to Cali, Colombia to set up the analogue recording studio Sonido del Valle where he produces much of his excellent work.
Out soon is Holland’s brand-new album; 1000 Watts. Recorded direct to tape, the record sees Holland delve further into his passion for reggae and dancehall rhythms. Authentic and audacious, Holland draws on the talents of Jamaican drummer Santa Davis, made famous for his work with Bob Marley and The Aggravators, and amazing singers Hollie Cook an Christopher Ellis. Also featured are U-Roy, Alice Russell and the work of the late incredible keyboardist Ikey Owens.
