Nariaki is a singer-songwriter from Japan, who is also a producer and CEO of Tokyo Records.
Instead of his usual club beats, 2025's album Zatto (translated as 'hustle and bustle' from Japanese) sees Nariaki blend genres such as American soul, flamenco and reggae as well as J-pop, following his claim that 'soul music is hard to find in Japan, so I want to create that'. Empathy is at the heart of this record, as Nariaki finds himself inspired to express himself about current world and cultural affairs, letting his voice roam free over the grooves on the record.
Whether performing live or in the studio, Nariaki’s artistry is marked by sincerity and vulnerability. His distinctive voice, both literally and artistical, has earned him a dedicated fanbase in Japan and beyond, as well as collaborations with producers and artists across genres.
