Southern California post-hardcore favourites known for raw, emotionally honest songs and a live show made for singing along.
Movements are a post-hardcore band from Southern California, formed in 2015 and signed to Fearless Records after just one hometown show. The quartet — vocalist Patrick Miranda, guitarist Ira George, bassist Austin Cressey and drummer Spencer York — quickly built a reputation for emotionally raw, mental-health-driven songwriting, working closely with longtime producer Will Yip, who has shaped almost all their records. From debut EP Outgrown Things (2016) and breakthrough album Feel Something (2017) to No Good Left to Give (2020), RUCKUS! (2023) and Happier Now (2026), they've grown from scrappy newcomers into one of the scene's most respected names.
Their sound blends post-hardcore grit with melodic hooks and unflinching honesty, and it lands hardest live, where Miranda's heart-on-sleeve delivery has made the band a genuine draw. They played the full 2017 Warped Tour and have since headlined their own tours with the likes of Citizen and Tigers Jaw in support. UK audiences have caught them on a 2018 headline run and opening for Mayday Parade and the Wonder Years. Expect big feelings, bigger choruses and a room singing every word back.
