Artist Bio

LA-based trio Moonchild (Amber Navran, Andris Mattson, and Max Bryk) epitomise a mix of intricate, progressive musicality with a classic laid-back and blissful sound that has been famously associated with the West Coast legacy across the decades. Rooted in Neo-Soul and the Black American music that has and continues to inspire them, their sound showcases the respect, musical understanding, and love the trio have, both for each other and their collaborators.

2019’s critically acclaimed ‘Little Ghost’ followed the widely-praised ‘Voyager’ [2017], ‘Please Rewind’ [2015] and ‘Be Free’ [2012]. These releases have been shown love by DJs across BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, BBC Radio 2, BBC 6Music, FIP, KCRW, Jazz FM (who previously named the band Soul Act Of The Year), Worldwide FM, and KEXP. They have garnered praise from The Fader, Paste, Soul Bounce, Complex, Echoes, Saint Heron, Okayplayer and NPR, with Moonchild’s Tiny Desk Session having now logged over 3.7 million views, alongside over 100 million plays on Spotify and Apple Music and the video for “The List” gaining 15+million views on YouTube. Moonchild have collaborated and toured across the world with highly respected names from across music including Kamasi Washington, Stevie Wonder, The Internet, Jill Scott, and built up a host of iconic supporters from Robert Glasper (who has collaborated with Navran on his own projects) and Laura Mvula to James Poyser, Jazzy Jeff, 9th Wonder and Tyler, The Creator.
