Three-piece minimal tech supergroup Moderat are about to hit the UK. They have three studio albums and are a worldwide dance sensation.
Moderat brings together a wealth of talent including Sascha Ring AKA Apparat, Gernot Bronsert and Szary who everyone knows as Modeselektor. The treble threat began to collaborate in 2003 and released a four track 12” Auf Kosten der Gesundhiet through Ellen Allein’s BPitch Control which also featured a series of locked grooves.
Their first full length album was self-titled and was also released through BPitch. The record included guest vocals provided by Pual St. Hilaire and Eased but didn’t come out until 2009 due to siginifcant creative differences. However, when finally released it coincided with the group winning The #1 Live Act Of The Year as voted by readers of online magazine Resident Advisor.
The second album would be released in 2013 and was given the utilitarian title of II. It rose to #10 in the German charts.
Their brand new album III came out in March of 2016 and sees them ready to take on the world once more.
