Hawai‘i-born musician Mike Love is a visionary roots artist whose music uplifts, transforms and connects. Raised on the island of O‘ahu in a family of musicians, he discovered early on that sound could be a tool for healing and conversation. Over the years, he has built an international reputation for his captivating live performances, blending intricate looping, multiple instruments and a powerful vocal range into a mesmerising one-man-band experience that is as heartfelt as it is sonically rich.
Drawing on influences from roots reggae, classic and progressive rock, soul, flamenco and jazz, Love’s sound transcends genre while remaining grounded in purpose. His new albums Leaders (2024) and Teachers (2025) form the first two parts of an ambitious trilogy exploring themes of growth, wisdom and unity, with Healers still to come. Each song is a call for transformation—music as meditation, movement and message. As Love himself says, “It’s done what it needed to do for me—now hopefully it can help someone else with their journey.”
