Moon shines on us all - the Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration
We were made very welcome at the event and enjoyed the range of performances especially the exquisite dancing and the musician who was very accomplished as she played the stringed Chinese instrument. The moon cakes were delicious too. We learned so much about China and its culture - our son is working in China as a teacher and so it was very relevant to us. We also liked the way the British poets related their work to the ancient Chinese poets. We got the chance to speak to some Chinese people in the audience. Our thanks to the Confucius Society for all their hard work and finally, Firth Hall is a magnificent venue !
