Rising to fame in the early 1970s as the lead guitarist for Scorpions and later UFO, Schenker helped shape the sound of classic rock with legendary tracks like "Rock Bottom" and "Doctor Doctor". His melodic yet explosive solos became his trademark, setting a new standard for rock guitarists.
In 1979, he formed the Michael Schenker Group (MSG), a project that allowed him to further explore his unique musical vision. Over the years, MSG and its various incarnations—such as Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock and Michael Schenker Fest—have delivered some of the most electrifying performances in rock history.
