Michael Monroe is a Finnish rock icon and the charismatic frontman of the legendary glam rock band Hanoi Rocks. Born in 1962 in Finland, Monroe's distinctive style, flamboyant performances, and powerful voice made him a key figure in the 1980s rock scene. With Hanoi Rocks, he became part of the glam rock movement, which paved the way for the likes of Guns N' Roses and countless other rock bands. Their albums, including Bangkok Shocks, Saigon Shakes, Hanoi Rocks (1981) and Two Steps from the Move (1984), earned the band critical acclaim and a dedicated global fanbase, with tracks like "Don't You Ever Leave Me" and "Tragedy" becoming anthems of the era.
Following Hanoi Rocks' split in 1985, Michael Monroe embarked on a successful solo career, further solidifying his place in rock history.
