MICHA fell for music early, playing his first songs with his family at just five years old. He launched his solo project in 2023, travelling to Nashville to hone his songwriting, and by 2025 had established himself as a singer-songwriter with a powerful, raw voice and disarmingly honest lyrics.
His rise came quickly. He reached the final of Dutch television singing contest The Headliner, finishing as runner-up and a clear crowd favourite, before earning two NPO Radio 2 TopSong awards for tracks including "Hopeful" and "Taste of Heaven" and being named a 3FM Talent. He has since sold out headline tours and played a busy festival season, appearing at Dutch favourites such as Paaspop, and signed a Nashville publishing deal with acclaimed songwriter Liz Rose. With his intimate delivery and gift for emotional, heartfelt songs, MICHA is fast becoming one of the Netherlands' most talked-about new voices.
