If you'd like to be the first to know when new events are announced, you can follow Mellt below.
Mellt are a Welsh indie-rock band — originally from Aberystwyth, now based in Cardiff — who mix sharp post-punk energy with catchy hooks, witty lyricism and distinctly Welsh-language storytelling. Their debut album Mae'n Hawdd Pan Ti'n Ifanc (2018) (translated ”It’s Easy When You’re Young”) earned them the Welsh Language Album of the Year, also securing a nomination at the Welsh Music Prize. Their sound draws from classic influences such as The Clash, The Replacements and rootsy rock, pairing ringing guitar leads and punk-tinged urgency with clever, emotionally aware lyrics and a flair for making Welsh-language rock feel fresh and raw.
In 2023, Mellt returned with their second album Dim Dwywaith (translated “Not Twice”), released via Clwb Music, which showcased a more refined, expansive sound — blending slacker-rock swagger, jangling guitars and existential lyricism. Their live shows have become known for their feral energy, shrieking guitar, driving drums and crowd-rousing intensity. With roots in a tight-knit friendship and shared history, Mellt remain one of Wales's most vibrant and original contemporary bands, proving that rock in any language can hit as hard as it sounds.
Ticket prices may vary depending on venue and location. Full pricing details are available on each individual event page.
