Malena Zavala is an Argentine-British singer, songwriter, producer, and visual artist whose music blends Latin American rhythms with dream-pop textures, soul, and indie rock.
Born in Argentina and raised in London, Zavala’s multicultural background is the heartbeat of her deeply atmospheric and emotionally rich sound. With roots in both Latin heritage and Western alternative music, Malena crafts songs that feel both intimate and expansive. Singing in both English and Spanish, she weaves lush melodies with reverb-drenched guitars, layered harmonies, and hypnotic grooves, creating soundscapes that are as introspective as they are transportive.
Her debut album, Aliso (2018), was a critically acclaimed introduction to her genre-blending approach, drawing comparisons to artists like Devendra Banhart, Beach House, and Natalia Lafourcade.
