Madeleine Peyroux, New Theatre, Oxford - 3rd June 2017

Despite the large venue the show felt very intimate and special. The professionalism of all the performers shone through and what a voice! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

We thoroughly enjoyed our first Madeleine Peyroux gig - the atmosphere was intimate and humorous. All of the performers were first-class.

Madeleine Peyroux, New Theatre, Oxford - 3rd June 2017

We've admired Madeleine Oetroux since we came across the "careless Love" album so the chance to see her locally couldn't be missed.
Absolutely worth the ticket! Relaxed set on stage with her and 2 others, one on double bass, one on electric guitar to accompany her. All the classic Madeleine songs, all personalised plus a tour through her new album. The only disappointment was that she didn't do "between the bars", which is a favourite.
Great show.

Madeleine Peyroux, New Theatre, Oxford - 3rd June 2017

One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to, in Oxford yesterday: Madeleine Peyroux in a trio with Jon Herington and Barak Mori. Expectations were low – the last album is just a tiny bit lacking in fizz (this trio, recorded in a village near here). Last night they were amazing. Every song seemed to be freshly minted - they made each other laugh with their solos and fills. Lots of Peyroux, including a couple of songs aimed at D Trump. Plus the expected L Cohen, an AC Jobim, Toussaint (Gonna be Funky) and a Beatles (Getting Better). Also the unexpected, including Chuck Berry (Maybellene, with great backing vocals).
