About Machine Girl

Machine Girl is an experimental electronic duo from the US, known for their high-energy fusion of digital hardcore, breakcore, and punk influences. Formed by producer and multi-instrumentalist Matt Stephenson, later joined by drummer Sean Kelly, the band has earned a reputation for their chaotic, genre-blurring sound and explosive live performances. Their music blends rapid, aggressive beats with distorted vocals and unpredictable rhythms, creating an intense, visceral experience that challenges traditional electronic and punk conventions.


Notable albums like WLFGRL (2014) and The Ugly Art (2018) showcase Machine Girl’s unique sound, with tracks like "Dumb Ass!!" and "Athoth a Go!! Go!!" standing out for their relentless energy and anarchic spirit. Machine Girl has garnered a dedicated following for their unapologetically bold approach to music, performing at underground venues and festivals where their raw and passionate performances create an electric atmosphere.
