Lyn Lapid, born Katelyn Lapid in Baltimore, Maryland, is a Filipino-American singer-songwriter renowned for her genre-blending pop music and candid lyrics. Raised in a musical family, she began studying classical piano and playing the violin at an early age. Lapid gained prominence through her engaging TikTok presence, where she shared a cappella covers and snippets of original compositions, notably teasing her debut single, "Producer Man."

In 2020, Lapid released "Producer Man," a track inspired by her experiences with a challenging music producer, which resonated widely with audiences. She followed this success with singles like "In My Mind," affectionately dubbed "the quiet kids' anthem," and "I Guess That Was Goodbye."
