Lindsay Ell is a Canadian singer, songwriter and guitarist whose blend of country, rock and blues has earned her acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic. Born in Calgary, she began playing piano at six and guitar at eight, developing a love of melody and musicianship that would define her career. After being discovered by rock legend Randy Bachman as a teenager, she honed her craft in Nashville, combining virtuosic guitar work with emotionally open songwriting that connects deeply with audiences.
Her album The Project (2017) established her as one of country music’s most dynamic new voices, praised for its honesty and energy. The follow-up Heart Theory (2020) took that authenticity even further — a conceptual journey through the stages of grief and healing that showcased both her vulnerability and strength. Singles such as “Criminal”, “Want Me Back” and “What Happens in a Small Town” became fan favourites, highlighting her skill for writing songs that balance power with intimacy. Whether performing solo or alongside artists like Keith Urban and Shania Twain, Lindsay Ell continues to inspire with her fearless artistry and unmistakable sound.
