About Leprous

Leprous is a progressive metal band hailing from Norway, known for their intricate compositions and emotive soundscapes. Formed in 2001, the band gained significant attention with their 2009 debut album, Tall Poppy Syndrome.

Subsequent releases, including Bilateral (2011) and Coal (2013), showcased their evolving sound. Their 2015 album, The Congregation, received critical acclaim for its complex rhythms and melodic depth. Malina (2017) marked a shift towards a more polished, atmospheric style, followed by Pitfalls (2019), which explored themes of mental health. In 2021, they released Aphelion, continuing their tradition of pushing musical boundaries.

Just an incredible and unforgettable performance of the the best progressive music atm

A truly amazing experience. An outstanding concert (one of the most memorable out of many many concerts over many many years) by one of the best bands at the top of their game playing outstanding music. The "evening with" concept worked very well and the band played a superb selection of the current and past. The sequencing of the songs in the sets was perfect too. Leprous are a crack band not doubt about: in my opinion they have the BEST vocalist/Front man currently performing in Rock (who would compare to any in the past too -- I have seen many great vocalist, Freddie Mercury prince to mind and Einer Solberg could stand with Freddie for sure). The drummer is extraordinary and also one of the BEST I have seen. He can stand shoulder to shoulder with the greats. He has it all the grace, feel, touch and Rhythmic control of a Gavin Harrison, Danny Carey, Bill Bruford but coupled with power of a John Bonham. I am quite new Leprous but they are quickly becoming my favourite bands.
