Late Night Drive Home is a four-piece indie rock band from El Paso, Texas. Formed in 2019 by high school friends Andre Portillo and Juan “Ockz” Vargas, the band began as a lo-fi project before evolving into a full-fledged ensemble with bassist Freddy Baca and drummer Brian Dolan. Their debut single, floral (2019), marked the beginning of their journey, followed by EP Am I Sinking or Am I Swimming? (2021), which featured the breakout hit “Stress Relief.” Their compilation, How Are We Feeling? (2022), showcased their growth, blending elements of emo, alt-rock, and garage rock revival.
In 2024, Late Night Drive Home signed with Epitaph Records and released the EP I'll Remember You for the Same Feeling You Gave Me as I Slept, featuring the single “Believe Me (Even If I’m Lying).” Their 2025 album, As I Watch My Life Online, continues to explore themes of youth, nostalgia, and introspection, solidifying their place in the modern indie rock scene. Known for their energetic live performances, the band has gained a dedicated following and continues to captivate audiences with their emotive sound.
