Phillipa Margaret ‘Pip’ Brown began working as a solo artist after performing in Two Lane Blacktop and enjoying success with Nick Littlemore (Empire Of The Sun) with the band Teenager. After hearing the tunes she was working on, Littlemore urged her to pursue a solo career.

Taking her moniker from the cult 80’s film, Brown began to work under the name Ladyhawke in 2007 and was quickly signed by cool label Modular Recordings who released her eponymously titled debut the following year.

The release captured the mood of the time and saw her projected onto the worldwide stage earning numerous awards and nominations along the way. Her success has continued with subsequent albums Anxiety (2012) and her new release Wild Things.
